We anticipate being able to accept less than half of the abstract proposals being submitted, based on past experience. Due to the level of interest in presenting abstracts and constraints of the symposium schedule, some worthy proposals may not be accepted. All proposals will undergo extensive review utilizing JAMA guidelines by members of the Scientific Review Committee. Choosing the appropriate abstract topic, and ensuring all items on the application are carefully addressed, will increase the chance of acceptance. Selection will be determined by the Scientific Committee on the basis of:
  1. Scientific quality
  2. Appropriateness of the format
  3. Relevance to research in integrative medicine and health
  4. Number of presentation slots available
