Call for research Abstracts
The Symposium Call for Research Abstracts Submission site is now closed.
The Integrative Medicine & Health Symposium and Members Meeting will be held virtually on April 11-13, 2021. We hope you will not only attend but also contribute your depth of knowledge and expertise by submitting a research abstract proposal centered around the theme of INNOVATION.
The Symposium accepted research abstracts for oral and ePoster presentation consideration. The Symposium call for research abstracts is now closed. Research abstracts will be organized under the themed and general topic areas listed below. Topic areas corresponding with this year's theme of INNOVATION are more likely to be awarded an oral presentation.
Themed Topic Areas
- Health & Healthcare Equity
Innovations in integrative medicine and proposed system-level and multi-level solutions to address: racism, social justice, and health equity. These innovations can be in the realm of research, education, clinical care, community, policy, or advocacy.
- Resilience & Well-Being
Innovations in integrative medicine to enhance resilience and well-being for patients, providers, communities, and organizations. These innovations can be in the realm of research, education, clinical care, community, policy, or advocacy.
- Lifestyle Medicine & Nutrition
Innovations in nutrition and lifestyle approaches in patient care, healthcare education, research, community health and systems.
- COVID-19 Pivots
Innovations in the COVID-19 pandemic relevant to integrative medicine, clinical practices, models of care, delivery of patient care and patient education, research methodologies, and healthcare education strategies.
General Topic Areas

Submission Deadline
The Symposium call for research abstracts is now closed.
Submission Information
- The presenting author is expected to register for the Symposium by February 19, 2021.
- Scientific abstracts must present original data.
- Abstracts will be evaluated on the data included in the submission and need to be based on available data. Statements such as "data will be available for the meeting" will typically lead to rejection of an abstract
- Accepted abstracts will be selected for a 15-minute oral presentation (10-minute presentation with 5 minutes Q&A) or for an ePoster presentation.
- Abstracts are presented by an individual, typically the submitting author.
- Acknowledgement of receipt of abstract will be sent to the presenting author's email upon completion of submission.
- Symposium registration includes submission of up to two (2) research abstracts. Additional research abstracts will be billed at $50 each.
Status Notification
Notification of your proposal status will be sent by Friday, February 12, 2021. Please hold the dates of April 12-13, 2021 until you are notified of the status of your submission.
Submission Requirements
Submissions MUST include the following information:
- Contact information for all presenters involved in the session being proposed.
- Session title (maximum of 150 characters)
- Abstracts are limited to 300 words and must include the following information: Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion
- All submissions must be made through the Call for Abstracts website.
- Submission must include a completed/signed CME disclosure form and demographics information for the Presenting Author.
Publication
Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in Global Advances in Health and Medicine (GAHM).
