Welcome!

Multidisciplinary researchers, educators, healthcare providers, and administrators will join together for the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health's inaugural two-day virtual Integrative Medicine & Health Symposium and Members Meeting from April 11-13, 2021.

It is said that necessity is the mother of invention. The year 2020 marks a threshold moment in history. We have been called to shift across all levels of society and to envision new possibilities that can carry us into a healthier, more equitable and sustainable world. The integrative health community stands to play a pivotal role in the reimagining of healthcare and collective healing. In order to highlight the transformational process already happening in our midst, we have selected INNOVATION as the theme for the 2021 Symposium and Members Meeting.

We will explore the trends, research, and opportunities in healthcare innovation occurring now, and how we can collectively create transformed system promoting integrative medicine and health for all. Symposium programming will be focused on the following topic areas:

  • Health & Healthcare Equity
  • Resilience & Well-Being
  • Lifestyle Medicine & Nutrition
  • COVID Pivots

Experts from academic institutions, health systems, and governmental entities will present research, education, clinical care, and policy findings in a virtual format with facilitated learning spaces that provide ample opportunities for Q&A and discussion.

The Symposium will build community, showcase innovations in research and provide opportunities to earn CME through experiential workshops, plenary sessions, and breakouts - all from the comfort of your office or home. Virtual sessions will be specially designed to maximize interaction between participants and trainees will be offered dedicated mentoring time during the Symposium.

The Academic Consortium's annual Members Meeting will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 prior to the start of the Symposium. The members' only event will foster dialogue and collaboration through networking forums, special interest group (SIG) meetings, and presentations from Academic Consortium member institutions who are advancing the field of integrative medicine in an evolving healthcare landscape.
